week 11 Presentation

The second week presentation, we were the first group to do our presentation. The topic of our article were, Cognitive abilities and superior decision making under risk A protocol analysis and process model evaluation. This paper talk about individual’s difference and cognitive abilities can be a very useful predictor when these activities are done normatively. I enjoy reading this paper, it help me to look at decision making with a different perspective.

Doing the presentation I was a bit nervous, before our presentation started we meet earlier, so we could rehearse out part to make sure that it flows, and we know what we were saying. Having listened to the first presentation groups, we know what we need to do and to make sure it sounded right. Which went well, until we have to present in front of all the other students? I was the first one to do my part of the presentation which did not go very well due to how nervous I were when presenting, and our group did very well and I think I could have done better. Anyway, I was pleased about going first since that mean we being able to watch the others and actually being able to pay attention. Some of the group were taking a long time so a timer were put in place to limit the time for each group longer than ours, it made our presentation seem short and not as detailed as the others did.

End of year course work
My group is now in the middle of putting together our end of semester written course work, which is, as our presentation was, Cognitive abilities and superior decision making under risk A protocol analysis and process model evaluation. We also used four other papers in our review. Our group have made plans to meet up and we delegate section of the work that each of us will be working on. We all worked very hard on this final piece of work and I am very happy it is all over

week 10 Presentation

The final two weeks of our teaching in this module were, dedicated to presentations. During the first week of presentation, there were very interested topics the groups also shown knowledge in the paper they are presented. As well as know what they were talking about when asked questions. I also have learnt a lot during the presentation. The first set of presentation topic were based on –equality. - monkeys exchanged tokens with experimenter for cucumber and inequality-one monkey exchanged token for cucumber and the other one for grape, which monkeys prefer, very interested topic, which presented well. Timing were an issue because everyone tend to go on and on, also we were disturbed by the noise of the fire engines going on and on which make it difficult at time when trying to focus on what the others were saying. One of the group presented bee’s with I find a bit distracted due to the amount of information and the bee flying across the scream this take the focus away from what they were presented, still overall this was good. I have learnt a lot from the presentations, which will help me when our group presenting on week 11 which we are preparing for.
